What make of electric bikes do you hire?

We hire Volt Pulse and Kensington electric bikes. These are exceptionally fun yet robust electric bikes which are easy to ride.
These bikes retail at £1.949 and £1.729 respectively, so you are definitely getting a quality electric bike for your rental.

How fast do your electric bikes go?

The maximum speed that our electric bikes will go is 15.5mph (25 kmh). Of course, you can go faster if you pedal hard. However, the electric motor won’t assist you above 15.5mph!

How do electric bikes work?

Electric bikes work in exactly the same way as normal bikes. However, if you want some extra assistance, you can use the electrical motor built to help push you along. You can choose how much assistance you want depending on how much help you want. If you don’t want any assistance, you can ride the bike as you would a conventional pedal cycle. If you want lots of assistance, you can get the motor to provide this. Of course, you can set the assistance level to anywhere in between as well.
Using the motor to assist you is a bit like having the wind behind you, helping push you along and making your cycling experience a joy! Hills are no longer a problem as the motor can be used to power you up.
No one gets off an electric bike without a smile on their face – they’re a joy to ride!

Do I have to pedal?

The VOLT™ Pulse and Kensington electric bikes have a thumb throttle, so if you don’t want to pedal, you can just cruise along using this.

How far will I be able to travel on an electric bike?

We have powerful lithium polymer batteries on our electric bikes, which mean that they are capable of travelling up to 60 miles on a single charge.

We are happy for you to leave items with us. However, we cannot accept responsibility for them, although of course we will do our best to care for them.

Will you show me how to ride the bike?

If you can ride a conventional pedal cycle, then you’ll have no problems riding an electric bike. We will of course go through with you exactly how to ride them so that you are 100% confident before you set out on your tour of London.

Do you have wet and cold weather gear?

We sell ponchos and gloves, which you can purchase before you set off on your ride.
